| Planning for the SDB SMME Fair 2008 is well underway On the weekend of 18-20 April 2008 all roads will be leading to the SDB SMME Fair to be held in Umlazi Mega-City for the second year in a row. What promises to be a successful event will draw 200 SMMEs from different sectors to showcase their services and provide networking opportunities between SMMEs and national, provincial and local support agencies. | ANOTHER EXCITING YEAR AHEAD FOR SDB NON PROFITS |
| An exciting one day strategic planning session was recently held with the South Durban Basin Non Profit Organisations, Ethekwini Line Departments and Provincial Departments at the Durban Botanical Gardens. | The Parenting Programme which is a brainchild of the South Durban Basin Area Based Management has taken off the ground. A pilot group of 15 parents have been trained as trainers. | A call for Communities to refrain from dumping Ethekwini Municipality is concerned about the level of illegal dumping that is taking place in different parts of the City. | SDB Learners given ticket of a lifetime Fourteen learners have been selected to participate in Project Recruit which is a skills development programme that focuses on First Line Maintenance for young people between the ages of 18-35.
